Discovering Womens Spiritual Transformation Group

By Larry Foster

Whether married, single, divorced or widowed, there are religious and secular programs which offer opportunities for individuals to grow closer to God, or Source. Whether a woman is religious or otherwise, a Womens Spiritual Transformation Group can provide great benefits. For example, an Austin based program operates on a secular level while there are others based on Biblical scripture.

The Austin based program is structured and aimed at women whom are looking to live from a place of deep listening and guidance from Source. While some may define that source as God, others may interpret as an inner-voice. In either case, all such programs are aimed at those seeking a more spiritual path based in real peace, love and understanding.

In some cases, these events occur on a weekly basis. Whereas in others, women meet once or twice a month. Regardless of working to become closer to God as a Christian, or to strengthen spiritually as an individual, the goal is most often the same. The goal, to build a stronger connection with all aspects of the divine presence in the world. In most cases, this is done through a variety of discussions and exercises which take place throughout the course of a program.

While some people believe each individual has an inherit wisdom which resides within all human beings, others believe it is something which must be learned throughout life. More religious individuals tend to believe that the Holy Spirit guides individuals on the daily walk of life. Whereas, more secular individuals often look to self-help and other books for this type of guidance.

Most often the goal of these type events is to cultivate and grow the authentic self, becoming more in touch with inner voice and wisdom, clear attachments and blockages which prevent individuals from connecting with spirit while learning about the male and female aspects of the divine. Whereas, the overall objectives include reading a number of different texts often considered sacred, discussing various teachings, practicing meditation and focusing on purifying the soul. In some cases, prayer and journaling are also a part of the process.

As with a number of courses and other programs, there are some groups whom provide homework assignments. While this is rarely a requirement for participating in meetings, those whom can take on these additional challenges often get the most out of the process. For, while it can be beneficial to read a variety of texts and participate in group discussions, these home based assignments are often designed to help individuals grow on a more personal basis.

While some groups are ongoing, there are also those which meet for a specific amount of time such as four to six weeks. When this is the case, individuals often leave the program with a better connection and understanding between body, mind and spirit. In addition, most will have had the opportunity to clear various attachments and beliefs which may have blocked an individual from achieving various life goals.

Ultimately, whether participating in on-going group or attending a program with an end-date, most women benefit from one aspect or another. As such, while the group may take a few hours away from home and family, it can often be beneficial in the long run. For, when an individual can become a more balanced, insightful and loving human being, not only the individual but others tend to enjoy the results which this type of group or program provides.
