Cure Acne Skin - Research The Root Causes Inside And Out

By Bing Wang

Whenever you have a problem to solve, the best remedies come from understanding the problem inside and out. This is true for acne: you need to know both the external as well as internal causes in order to cure acne skin. Get to know these causes and you'll be on your way to lasting treatment.

First we'll consider the external causes of acne. You'll want to stay away from those products that you're using that only make things worse. Of course, you may not even realize what product is harming your skin until you've tried it. Just be sure you avoid the products that exacerbate your acne.

You can also limit your exposure to the sun - despite your quest for a tan. Overly-exposing yourself to the sun will damage your skin and make your acne worse. Finding a way to cure acne skin will also mean protecting yourself from the sun: use sunscreen always, and limit your exposure.

Another factor that leads to acne is how you treat your acne. Sure, it's important to have a routine of cleansing your face, using soap and warm water. However, limit this to 2-3 times per day. Additionally, don't try to pick at or pop blemishes since this will only push the bacteria into your skin.

So much for the external elements - now for the internal elements that lead to acne. If you want to cure acne skin, you need to know about the bacteria involved, "P. Acne." This bacteria actually is found on our skin. It will attract the leukocytes (white blood cells) and therefore will cause your body to produce a certain enzyme which leads to inflamed and red skin. Reduce the P. Acne on the skin and you'll address the inflammation of acne.

Another internal cause is sebum, which your body creates naturally. It fills up the hair follicle, and makes everyone look greasy. Though the substance is great for our skin because it water-proofs our skin while shuttling dead skin cells out, sebum also builds up and could clog the pores. When a pore becomes clogged, a pimple develops.

Unfortunately, the final factor working to cause acne internally is simple DNA. Acne can definitely be inherited since the thickness of one's skin, the production of sebum and hormonal balances all are controlled by genetics and lead to acne. Though it may be impossible to avoid acne, you can find simple ways to address it and cure acne skin by using what others in your family have successfully used.
