Our religion is very important to us since this is one of the foundations of our existence. First of all, this could not save us. It could even be the root cause of violence and conflicts because of misunderstandings. Despite our beliefs, we must learn to value the essence of these moral standards. In this article, we will know about Olive Grove Baptist Church.
It would not impossible to build close connections and intimate relationships without trying to change the beliefs of that particular person. Instead of being too manipulative, we could just act as instruments in order for them feel loved and cared all the time. Sharing our blessings is a great idea to be good religious instruments. The world is not revolving around us.
Our norms and standards are only acquired from the society that we live in and from our parents and guardians. Our parents were the ones taking care of us since we were born until this day. Meaning to say ninety percent of our values and beliefs come from them. Even though we do not usually spend most of our time with them these days, we still act according to their teachings.
The goal of religious organizations is to promote kindness and the spread the general truths and not their personal beliefs. Some missionaries have risked their lives just to share the good news to those people who are living in inaccessible areas. These areas were not yet reached by industrialization. Thus, as instruments, we must do our job to cater their moral needs.
By focusing on our midpoints or common grounds, we will be able to build a more meaningful connection with each other. These common grounds will help us unite despite our conflicting values and different backgrounds. It is not our fault that our parents have taught us these things. It could also not be our fault why their parents raised them that way.
Sad to say, they believed in it for almost the half of their lives already. Conventional teachings should not be passed on to the next generation. The goal of religious organizations is to spread awareness to the community. We all should be careful and should learn to determine and indentify right and wrong values.
As members in the society, we should do our tasks well. Our task is to spread awareness especially to indigenous places that religion will not save them. However, it would be very dangerous and risky for our missionaries to visit those places. Indigenous places are home of cults and dangerous beings.
Our religion will not save us but our faith does. Doing lots of good works while we are still alive will help our community a lot. However, this is not an assurance that we already are following our moral standards. Our intentions should be pure and clean. There are actually lots of individuals who give material blessings to the less fortunate.
In this way, we will have an opportunity to let them know that being stuck with the conventional teachings of a particular religion without acting on it is no use. Actions will always speak louder than words. For someone to be strong with his or her faith, he or she must do something for the betterment of society. We should do our role as instruments.
